Br. Carmelo Cortez and the Rose Pedals
Br. Carmelo Cortez will be at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in Cincinnati, Ohio – Fri., Sept 1st, 2017 after 7:15 pm Mass
Carmelo is a lay member of the Commission on Liturgy in the Diocese of Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines.
On August 23, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI conferred upon Carmelo the Title of Knight of St. Sylvester.
He is approved by his Bishop, the Most Reverend Jose F. Oliveros to do testimony and to perform prayer healing services.
On August 15, 1991, The Blessed Mother appeared to Carmelo Cortez, a Filipino teenager residing in Quezon City, Philippines.
She identified Herself as the “Mother of the Eucharist and Grace.”
She told Carmelo to urge people to: pray for priests; return to the church and to the sacraments;
pray the rosary daily; help the poor; visit the sick and build a house of prayer. Carmelo did all that he was asked to do.
With help from family and friends, Carmelo built a small house of prayer in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines in 1991.
His ministry brought countless number of people back to the faith. As the ministry grew and flourished, a bigger
permanent house of prayer was built in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines in 1999. In 2007 it was elevated into the
”Shrine of the Mother of the Eucharist and Grace” and is now a place of pilgrimage.
Since 1991, Mother Mary has appeared to Carmelo hundreds of times, the latest being on September 8, 2014
at the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Br. Carmelo has visited Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Cincinnati every year since 1998.
God works through Carmelo to bring about: spiritual and physical healings; appearance of sacred images unto rose petals;
transformation of ordinary water into oily rose scented water and others.
Some other mystical events have occurred during or after some of his prayer healing services.
