Greetings Dear Friends of OLHSC,

I am at a loss for words to express my deepest gratitude to your allegiance to our Lord and our Lady’s home.  Your generosity and selfless acts of kindness in regard for another’s safety and well-being is nothing short of pure charity.  A charity from one’s interior disposition deeply rooted in your love for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the heart of Mary.

We continue to work our way through these difficult times with a loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars from our retreat bookings.  Frankly though, we need your continued financial support more than ever but just as important we need your prayers.

The long term effects of this crisis will remain with us for sometime which reminds me of Jesus promise to us in Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”

These times are burdensome and our labors stressful.  The good news is we know the Lord will always provide for us if we but go to Him.  In that context, I’m constantly being reminded by many of you, how Eucharistic Adoration and Confession brings about that intimate relationship with the Lord’s peace.  What a blessing to hear such news from so many!

It seems souls are crying out for the Lord during these “social distancing” times, these times of protest, these times of cultural unrest. Eucharistic Adoration and Confession allow people to find their rest in the Lord, their peace in Him as they turn everything over to Him, the Prince of Peace.

I’m encouraged by those turning to the Lord where all hope is discovered, all good is found, and all peace prevails.  The challenges we face today will only deepen our relationship with the Lord and our Lady (The Queen of Peace) if we go to them, if we put all our trust and hope in them, if we continue to give thanks for everything we have.

In closing, I share these words from St. John Henry Newman,

Then in His mercy, may He give us safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at the last.”

May these words from the saint inspire us to continue going to our Lord and our Lady where their mercy, peace, and rest reign.

All for the gentle love of Jesus through the heart of Mary,
